George Mason Scholarships for Incoming/Freshmen 2023
George Mason University is known to be offering varieties of scholarships to incoming freshman students, continuing students, and international students. These scholarships recognize academic achievement, talent, and other personal characteristics, and do not take financial need into account.
However, freshman applicants who apply by November 1 will automatically be considered for merit-based scholarships through the Office of Admissions and the Scholarship Committee. International students can apply for the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship program, which is applied to tuition costs.
George Mason Foundation Scholarships – Continuing Students
It will interest you to know that Mason Foundation Scholarships are available to continuing students and are provided through donations from alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students. Students should contact their academic department for information about scholarships related to their field of study. Athletic scholarships can be obtained by contacting the appropriate intercollegiate athletic coaches. The George Mason University Alumni Association also offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students.

Graduate fellowships are available for masters and doctoral students and provide support for research, writing, fieldwork, language study, professional development, and independent projects.
Renewal of George Mason Scholarships
Most George Mason scholarships require recipients to maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 in order to be renewed for the next academic year. If a student loses their scholarship due to failure to meet GPA standards, they may appeal for reinstatement.
